This moodboard I created conveys a variety of aspects of performance in rock and metal music videos, including:
- Heavy use of CUs on all performers so the audience can metaphorically get closer to the musician as well as not giving prevalence to one member in particular
- The musicians always perform towards the camera, vary rarely will there be a shot behind the musician apart from if they are turning or the camera is panning around them
- During the guitar solo there will be heavy focus on the guitarist performing it, however other members will not be discarded as there will still be cuts to them
- The performance itself is rarely static with either the camera providing movement or the performer will be moving in a static shot
