GW: narrative moodboard

a moodboard of various rock videos that include an offbeat narrative
I investigated narratives that have a level of social commentary, or concept driven stories:

In narrative videos there is a lot of variety in terms of shot types. They utilise both a first and third person mode of address and have varying levels of camera movement, depending on the state of the character at the time.

  • third person modes of address often have following shots, whereas first person will travel in front of the character, watching thier reactions etc
  • a mixture of LS and CUS and MS are used, with close ups on more important details and characters
  • cuts speed up when action takes place or if the character is of an unstable mentality

  1. Interesting observations, I think we could use those shot types in conjunction with the altering cutting rate to help present an interesting narrative in our music video.
